This page explains how to request deletion of your account and personal data in uraTracker, the workforce scheduling and time-tracking service provided by uraTracker (the uraTracker website and the uraTracker app for Android).
How to request deletion
If you can sign in: open My Profile → Delete account in the app or on the website. We email a 6-digit code to your account’s address to confirm it is you, and your request is on record the moment you enter it. You can withdraw it there at any time before it is completed.
If you cannot sign in, or have uninstalled the app:
- Send an email to support@uratracker.com with the subject Delete my uraTracker account. Send it from the email address you use to sign in, so we can confirm the request is yours.
- Include your full name and the name of the organization (employer) you belong to in uraTracker.
- We will reply to confirm the request and complete it within 30 days of receiving it, and email you again when it is done.
If you only want to stop using uraTracker at your current employer, your organization’s administrator can deactivate your access immediately. Deactivation stops sign-in and notifications; it is not deletion.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in details: email address, password, active sessions and every signed-in device. You can no longer sign in.
- Your profile: phone number, address, date of birth, gender and profile photo.
- Your notification settings, the push-notification subscriptions for your devices, and your text-message (SMS) consent and preferences.
- Your saved mileage routes and private AI conversations, and your place in every chat group and conversation. Nobody can message you again.
What is kept, and why
uraTracker is used by employers to run their workforce. Some records you appear in belong to your employer, who is required by law to keep them, so they are not erased when your account is deleted:
- Your name, on the records below. A timesheet or payroll record without the employee’s name is of no use to the employer, and US law lists the employee’s name among the records an employer must keep. Everything else about you is removed from your account.
- Timesheets, clock-in and clock-out records (including the location recorded at the moment of each clock-in and clock-out), schedules and payroll records. US wage-and-hour law requires employers to keep these for up to three years, and some states require longer. Your employer may also keep its own copies of profile details the law requires it to hold, such as your address.
- Personnel documents your employer uploaded about you, and any job application you made through uraTracker, which are the employer’s records.
- Messages, announcements and files you sent inside your organization’s workspace, which remain part of that organization’s records.
- Audit and security logs, kept for a limited period to protect the service and investigate misuse, then deleted automatically.
These records stay under your employer’s control. They are deleted automatically once the legal retention period has passed, or when your employer’s organization is closed, whichever comes first. To ask about records your employer holds, contact your employer directly.
Removing some of your data without closing your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to have particular data removed.
- Your address, date of birth and gender: change them yourself in My Profile, or ask us to remove them.
- Your profile photo, a document you uploaded, or messages and files you sent: email support@uratracker.com from the address you sign in with and say what you want removed. We complete it within 30 days and confirm by email. The records your employer is required to keep, listed above, are the one exception.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text from uraTracker and they stop at once.
